Applestone Homes
Applestone Homes is a building and developing company, located in Iowa, who prides themselves on tradition. A business that’s been in the family for multiple generations, Appletone builds new homes but with that tradition in
mind when it comes to timeless design.
JJ, from Applestone, wanted to incorporate an apple blossom into the existing branding, and was looking for an overall hand-made feel. He wants to appeal to potential home buyers, who are mainly hip, millennials, as well as to a more blue collar audience.
We went through a few design rounds of how that would be incorporated into a mark. One of the main marks we landed on is a badge, with details that are inspired by woodcut pieces created by hand.
Above is the extended branding, with logo variations intended for various applications (social media, print, etc.), along with the suggested color palette.
